Testimonials
Student Testimonal - Joy Ching Shum
“My name is Hebe, I am studying first year Bachelor of Commerce. The reason I choose commerce is because I would like to learn more about business management and this course covers all business areas which is great for me. It is also give me a great chance to explore and learn about Irish business structure. I choose NUI Galway because of the variety of subjects available.
To help me make my decision on studying here in NUI Galway I was in Galway and attended the University Open Day. On that day, I obtained a lot of information in different subjects and then I saw the business section, I thought if I can study commerce here, I could have a great chance to gain more business knowledge.
I remember the first day I went to NUI Galway, the first impression I had was it is a very big school with an extensive campus and facilities; I have to admit I got a bit lost on the first day!
Overall, studying in Galway is very comfortable and relaxing, I have a lot of time to study and go to different places to explore during my free time. I think Irish people are very friendly; they will greet everyone even when they do not know each other. During the last semester, I made many friends in the college and joined different societies. It is a very good and new experience for me to study abroad, and it is a good chance for me to improve my English and explore Irish culture.
If you ask me to use three words to describe Irish culture, I would say “Friendly, generous, green” and three words to describe Galway, it would be “relaxing, windy, and beautiful”. If you want to study abroad, NUI Galway would be the best choice.”
