Report a Fault / Service Requests
Buildings and Estates use an online request management system (Pemac Assets) for fault reporting / managing maintenance requests. Contact your Buildings & Estates Unit Liaison to log requests with us online.
What type of requests should I log on PEMAC Assets?
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- Fire Prevention
- Fit-out services
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning)
- Landscape and Grounds Maintenance
- Lift repairs
- Painting
- Pest Control
- Plumbing
- Security (keys and access)
- Signage
For operational reasons cleaning, attendant services, transportation (moving of equipment/furniture), poster boards and WEEE waste requests are not logged on Pemac Assets. Send an email with details of your request to buildingsandestates@universityofgalway.ie

Role of Buildings & Estates Unit Liaison
A Buildings & Estates Unit Liaison is an individual (and usually a deputy) within an office/unit/discipline who acts as a liaison with Buildings & Estates with respect to the following:

Maintenance Requests: logging and following-up on maintenance requests, such as leaks, power outages, carpentry requests etc.

Point of contact for disseminating information from Buildings & Estates to University staff, particularly in the case of emergencies or shutdowns etc.

Space management data: helping Buildings & Estates in keeping our space information up-to-date, i.e. providing us with updated occupancy reports when requested, and notifying Buildings & Estates of any changes to occupancies etc.

Ensuring that Buildings & Estates Liaison contact information is kept up-to-date, so that in the case of an emergency, or of works to be carried out, Buildings & Estates can send communications to the right people.
