Following Storm Éowyn,we’ve made a range of supports available to ease the challenges faced by many in our community:
- Shower and Changing Facilities: A list of locations is available at this link [insert link]. To access them, activate your ID card by visiting the Security Office (Number 29 on this map [insert link]). We ask for patience as staff manage high demand.
- Sports Centre/Kingfisher: Showers and changing rooms are available from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., and a valid University ID is required for access.
- Catering: All campus cafés, restaurants, and the College Bar are open, serving hot food and drinks. Most facilities also provide access to power outlets.
- Cooking Facilities: Open locations include the Hub in Áras na Mac Léinn, BizHub in the JE Cairnes School of Business and Economics, the Student Pantry/SU Síbín, and the Chaplaincy.
- Laundry Rooms: Facilities at Circle K on Newcastle Road and in student accommodations are available for use.
- Campus Access: A section of Distillery Road remains closed due to fallen power lines. Galway County Council is working on repairs.
