The Access Diploma is a one year long programme that aims to provide students with the opportunity to prepare, personally and academically, for an undergraduate course of full-time study at the University of Galway.

The course is aimed at people who are generally underrepresented in third-level education. These groups include, but are not limited to:

  • Socio-economically disadvantaged

  • Students with disabilities

  • Ethnic minorities

  • Students with long-term illnesses

  • Students with little or no family tradition of third-level education
