Programme
SPEAKERS
Professor Philip Dodd is currently working as Mental Health Policy & Specialist within the Mental Health Unit of the Department of Health, supporting the implementation of Sharing the Vision. He is also Clinical Advisor with HSE National Office for Suicide Prevention. He previously worked as HSE National Clinical Advisor and Clinical Group Lead (Mental Health), and prior to that worked as Clinical Lead for the HSE MHID Service Improvement Programme. Professor Dodd is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Professor at Trinity College Dublin.
Jo Ellins is Senior Fellow at the Health Services Management Centre at the University of Birmingham, and Deputy Director of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) BRACE Rapid Evaluation Centre. She has nearly 20 years’ experience of leading applied health services research and evaluation for organisations across the public and charitable sectors. She has particular expertise in qualitative and mixed-methods research, and in designing and conducting research in collaboration with people who use health services and the wider public. She has recently completed an early national evaluation of a large-scale implementation programme in England funding the creation of mental health support teams in schools and colleges.
