Starting university is a significant transition, regardless of whether you're surrounded by familiar faces or arriving alone.

Freshers' Point aims to help ease the transition. This drop-in, weekly event offers you an opportunity to meet other first year students in a relaxed and casual setting.  Our student facilitators are on hand to offer practical advice and tips for navigating campus life, all while you enjoy free tea and coffee! Drop-in to take a breather in between lectures and connect with other students.

While Freshers’ Point has wrapped up for now, there are loads of other great ways to get involved and meet new people. Have a look at the societies webpage to see what you might enjoy. https://socs.universityofgalway.ie/societies/
