Noise and shellfish health
For my PhD, I am studying the impacts of offshore wind farms on shellfish health as part of the SEAI-funded SHELLWISE project. Originally from Chicago, I developed my love of marine science when I left the Midwest and joined the barnacle research lab at Scripps College in California. I then crossed coasts to obtain my master's degree from Duke University, where I studied enzymatic activity in pea crabs and spent much of my time working at the university's oyster farm.
