Cullen Fellowship-funded PhD scholar

Ryan's PhD is funded by the Marine Institute under the Cullen Fellowship programme. The project focuses on the larval stages of the Dublin Bay prawn, a valuable fishery species. Ryan's work involves collecting samples on-board research vessels to examine the distribution of larvae off Ireland's coast. He also uses computer based models to predict larval trajectories in a simulated environment and estimate recruitment levels.
