Eve O'Kelly
PhD Candidate
Eve O’Kelly completed her BSc (Hons) in Applied Biology and Biopharmaceutical Science at the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Galway, in 2021. She completed her MSc in Biomedical Science at the University of Galway in 2022, during which time she joined Prof John Dalton’s Molecular Parasitology Lab (MPL) to carry out her research project. Following the completion of her MSc, she joined the MPL full-time as a Research Assistant. Her work focused on the expression, isolation, and biochemical and molecular characterisation of Fasciola hepatica (liver fluke) immunomodulatory proteins. She recently started a PhD in the MPL to continue this work and to further characterise potential vaccine targets of interest against fasciolosis.
