Dr. Antonia Trotta is a Senior R&D Engineer in Medtronic. She graduated with a BSc and MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. After her graduation she worked as researcher focusing on Finite Element Models of Nitinol peripheral stents. In 2015 she moved to Ireland to start a PhD at UCD in the area of Biomechanics, focusing on mechanical characterization of skin tissue and head impact biomechanics. Upon completing her PhD, she became an Assistant Professor in University College Dublin. In 2020, she moved to industry and joined Medtronic as a FEA R&D Engineer. | |

Stephen completed a B.Sc. in Mathematics in 2011 followed by a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics in 2012, both at NUI Galway. He then began his Ph.D. studies on sparse grid methods for singularly perturbed problems, under the supervision of Dr Niall Madden at NUI Galway, and was awarded my Ph.D. in 2016. Upon completion of his Ph.D. he took up a postdoctoral research position at the Computational Science Research Center in Beijing. Upon his return from China in 2018 he began working in his current position as a Computer Vision Research Engineer at Valeo Vision Systems in Tuam, Galway. |
