The following are the 108 Principal Investigators of the Ryan Institute who are academic staff members managing over 350 research grants comprising circa 20% of the research income activity of NUI Galway. Each of these Ryan Institute Principal Investigators has a research group that is typically comprised of contract research staff (postdoctoral fellows, research assistants) and full-time postgraduate researchers (e.g. Ph.D. or Masters students).
