Travel
In 2018, as in previous years, two tours were organized by the RSA's Travel Committee.
24-25 October 2018: a group of 20 members went on a 2-day (1 night) tour of the Boyne Valley area, visiting Belvedere House and Gardens, Slane Castle, the site of the Battle of the Boyne, Newgrange, and Glasson.

Thanks to Catherine Ó Leanacháin for this and other photos for the RSA archive.
Planned for 26 April-2 May 2019. Central Spain
The Travel Committee (see below) negotiated a highly attractive itinerary for our 2019 tour abroad. Between 26 April and 2 May over thirty of our members and friends will visit some key destinations in central Spain: Madrid, Salamanca, Segovia, La Granja de San Ildefonso, El Escorial and Toledo. Full itinerary available here: Spain itinerary 2019. Booking closed in November 2018.
This tour was arranged with John Galligan Travel (JGT), who managed two of our previous trips: St Petersburg (2015) and The Baltic States & Finland (2018).

RSA Lecture Series
In the second half of 2018, two very successful lectures were delivered in the RSA Lecture Series.
Campus Visits
In the second half of 2018, a visit was arranged to the O'Donoghue Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance. Warmest thanks are due to Dr Marianne Ní Chinnéide for arranging this, and to Dr Ian Walsh for a very stimulating tour of the theatre, backstage spaces and other facilities. Viewing these made our group much more aware of the attractive programme of events that take place there.
