The Office of the Vice-President for Research in conjunction with the Library have subscribed to the online research funding opportunities service provided by ResearchProfessional, the world's leading publisher of news and information for the international research community.
FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
The Funding opportunities database has been designed so that it’s easy for occasional users but offers complex search options for regular users. Opportunities can be browsed by Sponsor, by discipline, type of sponsor, purpose of award, by deadline, eligibility, etc. Records include a detailed abstract of the opportunity including details of eligibility requirements, deadline, the original text of the call (where available); and links to the application form and specific page of the sponsor's web site. Note: You will only see funding opportunities that you are eligible to apply for.

Training:
Once a month Research Professional run a 60 minute online training broadcast, aimed at introducing users to the basics of creating and configuring their personal accounts on Research Professional, as well as introducing them to the features of the platform. Sessions can be viewed from your own computer, and you will be able to ask questions via text chat. To register for a session, just follow the link (given below) for your desired date. Each session covers:• Self registration and logging in• Building searches• Setting personalised alerts• Saving and bookmarking items• Subscribing to news alerts. Each session will run between 10.00am and 11.00am (GMT):
