How We Tender
How We Tender
University of Galway work in close partnership with the Office of Government Procurement (OGP) and the Education Procurement Service (EPS) to source our requirements and achieve maximum value for money.
The Office of Government Procurement was established in 2013 to ensure the public service operate in a co-ordinated and efficient way when buying goods and services. Suppliers should register on the OGP website to be kept up-to-date on developments.
The Education Procurement Service (EPS) is the procurement shared service for Higher Education (HE) representing Universities and Institutes of Technology (IOT).
Once contracts for commonly purchased supplies and services are established by either the OGP or the EPS, University of Galway will purchase their requirements through these contracts where deemed suitable.
eTenders
The Government website etenders is a central facility for all public sector contracting authorities in Ireland to advertise its procurement opportunities.
In addition to information on tendering activity, the etenders website provides a host of information to suppliers and buyers on procurement legislation, regulations and guides.
Suppliers should monitor the etenders website regularly for information on tenders that may be relevant to them.
