Elaine has over 16 years extensive nursing experience in Perioperative Care. Experience in the roles as Perioperative Nurse (Recovery, Scrub & Anaesthetics), CNM, Clinical Educator, Clinical Facilitator and Practice Development. Elaine teaches and has experience across both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes with NUIG. She has been leading as Perioperative Academic Facilitator/Programme Director for the Perioperative Programme since 2016. She has recently completed the PGD in Healthcare Simulation and Patient Safety. Research interests include ¿ Perioperative Nursing, Surgical Medicine, Post Graduate Specialist Nurse Education, Acute Medicine.
