Biography

Dr. Manon Jammes joined the Restore Vision project as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Ritter group of the University of Galway (Ireland). She recently completed a PhD at the University of Caen (France) on the therapeutic use of the secretome and the exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for the regeneration of hyaline cartilage in horses. With knowledge and skills focusing on the various production, isolation and purification methods of extracellular vesicles (EVs), Manon¿s contribution to the RESTORE VISION project lies in the development of clinical grade MSC-derived EVs to prevent and reduce ocular surface inflammation associated with RED physiopathology. Her work also aims to investigate the mechanism of action of these MSC derivatives to improve the understanding of the mediation of their therapeutic effect.
