Biography

Chris is a Lecturer Above the Bar in Ancient and Early Medieval History in the School of History and Philosophy at the University of Galway.
He is a cultural historian of ancient and early medieval Europe and the Near East.
Chris is interested in interethnic cultural interaction between the so-called 'civilised and the savage', as well as the transformation from polytheist to monotheist religious practices, with a focus on material culture.
