Biography

Dr. Alireza Rahimi is a highly accomplished researcher specializing in composite structures, fluid-structure interactions (FSI), and thermoelasticity. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, his work focuses on cutting-edge advancements in nanocomposite materials, deep learning applications in engineering, and finite element analysis. Dr. Rahimi has made significant contributions to the fields of structural mechanics and multiscale modeling, authoring numerous high-impact publications cited over 850 times.

Currently, as a Research Assistant at the University of Galway, Dr. Rahimi is driving innovative research in sustainable wind turbine blade materials, aligning with Ireland's National Energy and Climate Plan. His interdisciplinary approach, combining materials science and computational methods, aims to advance eco-friendly, cost-effective solutions in renewable energy.

Dr. Rahimi is proficient in Ansys, MATLAB, Python, and SolidWorks, with expertise in deploying deep neural networks for complex mechanical problems. He also has extensive teaching experience, having lectured in several engineering courses at Azad University in Iran.

Beyond his academic achievements, Dr. Rahimi has mentored students, presented at prestigious conferences, and served as a peer reviewer for leading scientific journals.
