Biography

Dr. Ifeoluwapo Aribilola is a Data2Sustain Postdoctoral Researcher at the Insight Research Center, Data Science Institute and the School of Computer Science, University of Galway, Ireland. This is an EDIH award, supported by Enterprise Ireland and funded by the European Union.

She received her Ph.D. degree in Engineering from the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest, Athlone campus, Ireland, under the Presidential Doctoral Scheme (PDS) of the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Athlone, Ireland. The primary goal of her doctoral research titled "Threat Modelling for Privacy-Protected Surveillance Videos using Machine Learning" was to develop advanced technical solutions to prevent numerous attacks on ROI-encrypted surveillance videos, including mitigation of video replay attack, detection and classification of pixel tampering on these ROI-encrypted video frame before decryption. This interdisciplinary work encompasses computer vision, Deep Learning, the Internet of Multimedia Things (IoMT), threat-modelling, cryptanalysis and cryptography.

She has over seven years of working experience as a software engineer in the industry with different IT companies where she has used different programming languages like Python, Java, .NET, JavaScript etc to develop different applications such as banking applications, automated console app for engaging platforms, loan recovery and monitoring system etc. Her research interests include and are not limited to deep learning, computer vision, visual privacy, threat modelling, cryptology, and cybersecurity.

She has published several articles in ISI-indexed journals and Irish conference proceeding.
