Mindfulness Classes
Mindfulness for Beginners Classes: Tuesday mornings
All welcome, free of charge (staff, students and members of the public)
Drop in for one session on any Tuesday morning or attend lots of classes and receive a Certificate of Attendance!

Mindfulness Teacher: Martina Coyne
Martina Coyne is a qualified nurse, mid-wife and Montessori Teacher who has been working with mindfulness-based therapy since she began to study in-depth meditation and body-centred therapies in New Mexico in 1994.
She is a qualified mindfulness teacher and ‘mindfulness in schools’ facilitator. Throughout her career she has been working in the area of health and well-being in many different settings ranging from homelessness and addiction to cancer care and student services as well as in private practice where preventative therapy, health promotion, education and self-care have been a common thread.
She is a member of the Mindfulness Association in Scotland and in her current MSc. in Mindfulness studies at the University of Aberdeen, she is developing a modified mindfulness-based intervention for people with anxiety.
She continues to explore different ways of teaching mindfulness in a variety of settings. Her approach is very practical with an emphasis on compassion-based practice and bringing mindfulness into our everyday lives.
