Where can I find access to a GP service/mental health services?

GP services for the Mayo Medical Academy students is provide by Malvern Medical Clinic, Main Street, Castlebar. Eircode F23X330.

Where can I find Parking?

Parking is available in the public carpark in Mayo University Hospital card. Access will be given to you when you begin you semester.

Is the hospital canteen subsidised?

Unfortunately we do not have any subsidised food in the hospital canteen but you will be given the staff discount.

What are the Mayo Medical Academy opening hours?

The academy is open from 7.15 – 22.00

Monday to Friday and from 09.00 to 20.00

Saturdays and Sundays during semester time.

Our summer opening times are Monday to Friday 07.50 – 20.00 and Saturday and Sunday 10.00 to 18.00.

The hospital library is open from 09.00 – 17.00

Where can I find access to mannequins?

Students have access to our mannequins at all times these are a very expensive and valuable teaching tool. Please treat them with respect at all times.

Where can I find access to a prayer room?

The hospital provides an area to meet the spiritual needs of people from all religious backgrounds. This is a lovely calm space where all are welcome.
