The Discipline of Obstetrics & Gynaecology teaches the OBGYN module to Year 4 medical students and contributes 10 ECTS.  

The OBGYN module consists of two four week learning blocks delivered over two semesters. Block 1, Semester 1 introduces the student to common women's  presentations and related topics as well as building on their clinical skills in this setting.  Block 2, Semester 2 consolidates learning from semester 1 and introduces students to more complex presentations.  

The OBGYN module is clinically focused.  It encourages interactive learning and student participation in clerking patients. Students present case presentation and are also scheduled on-call and to present on ward rounds.
