Biography
Dr Catherine O'Rourke is Director of the Transitional Justice Institute and Senior Lecturer in Human Rights and International Law in the School of Law at Ulster University, Northern Ireland. She researches, teaches and engages in policy work in the fields of gender, conflict, transitional justice and international law. Her new monograph, that will be presented during the seminar, is entitled Women's Rights in Armed Conflict under International Law (Cambridge University Press, 2020). Catherine works with the Irish and UK governments, the United Nations and several non-governmental organizations in policy work related to her expertise.
