Post-2011 Morocco: Human rights and gender equality for minority and indigenous women.

Academic Background: Bachelor of Science in Political Science (LUISS University, 2004) Master of Science in Political Science (Universiteit Van Amsterdam, 2006) and Master of Science in International Relations (Università degli Studi di Roma III, 2008, awarded magna cum laude/first honours).

Research Interests: Women's rights, gender studies, indigenous peoples' and minorities' rights, Middle East and North Africa studies.

Scholarships and awards: Recipient of the Irish Research Council (IRC) Postgraduate Scholarship: October 2014-October 2018.

2008-2012: Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Kosovo, [FYR] Macedonia and Bosnia Herzegovina;

2006-2008: UN Division for the Advancement of Women (USA), UNHCR (Austria), Human Solidarity Group NGO (Sri Lanka), Amnesty International and International Law Institute (USA).

Publications: 

"Violence against women: The stark reality behind Morocco's human rights progress", Journal of North African Studies, August 2017;

Drafted several thematic reports and analytical notes on, inter alia: trafficking in human beings (2011, OSCE, (FYR) Macedonia; Human rights defenders and the right to peaceful assembly and association in Bahrain (2013, OHCHR, Lebanon); early and forced marriages in Algeria and Morocco (OHCHR, 2014, Lebanon).
