HRB Trials Methodology Research Network (HRB-TMRN)
What is trials methodology research?
Trials methodology research aims to improve the ways clinical trials are planned, carried out, analysed and reported to produce high-quality, trustworthy results. This type of research looks at various aspects, such as how to recruit participants effectively, how to measure outcomes accurately, and how to ensure that trials are conducted fairly and transparently. The ultimate goal is to enhance the overall process of clinical trials to better inform clinical practice and healthcare decisions.
For more information on trials methodology, watch this brief video below.
What is the HRB – Trials Methodology Research Network (HRB-TMRN)?
The HRB-TMRN was established in 2014 and is a national network led out of the University of Galway, with partner sites in University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, University College Cork and University of Limerick.
The HRB-TMRN offers the trials methodology community a suite of activities across four main pillars: Support, Research & innovation, Public Involvement & Engagement and Training & Education.
Our mission is to make trials more efficient, inclusive, and usable for all stakeholders. Our Network helps ensure all trials are better planned, designed, conducted and reported leading to more meaningful results, which ultimately inform policy and clinical practice decision-making in Ireland and internationally.
