NVivo
NVivo provides a qualitative software package capable of handling rich text records, freely edited and coded. NVivo allows for qualitative inquiry beyond coding and retrieval and was designed from the ground up to integrate coding with qualitative linking, shaping and modeling.
Does the University of Galway have a site licence for NVivo software?
NVivo may be used by any employee, registered student or other persons authorised by the University Galway for the purposes of the normal business of the University, whether or not they are located on campus.
Such use of the software includes:
- Teaching
- Research
- Personal educational development
- Administration and management of the business of the University
- Development work associated with any of the above.
- NVivo Licence Renewal
To renew the NVivo licence key, go to File – Help – Extend Licence...
enter the new licence code and click OK

Can I install on my Home Computer
Yes. The software is available to download the software from the NVivo web site. Before installing, you must request the NVivo Licence code from the Service Desk.
