Anti-Virus and Windows Updates
Make sure your anti-virus software is up-to-date and ensure the latest Microsoft security patches are installed via Windows Update and your firewall is switched on. Students, McAfee Anti-Virus is available to download on-campus only when connected to WiFi.
What is an Ethernet Cable?
Ethernet cable is the standard cable used to connect networks and computers together. The cable is used to transmit data at high speeds over a local area network (LAN). You will need to purchase an Ethernet cable if you are connecting your machine from the Student Residences. Ethernet cables are available to buy online or in computer stores.
