Exam Modelling Tool (EMT)
Description
The Exam Modelling Tool is a tool designed to improve the exam board process by enabling the Colleges to run the exam boards internally, reduce the amount of time spent preparing and attending exam boards and remove the dependency on the Examinations Office having to partake. It provides an online tool for all Colleges to allow them analyse student results in advance of and at the exam boards.
EMT Security (User/Rights Management) – Access to the Exam Modelling Tool uses federated access but the account must also exist in the Exam Modelling Tool which is set up by the Examinations Office. ‘E’ accounts have been set up for each College/School access.
How To Obtain This Service
- The Exam Modelling Tool can be accessed at: https://exammodelling.nuigalway.ie
Who Can Use This Service
- Nominated staff in College/School Offices.
Access approval is required from the College Administrative Officer who specify the level of access is required e.g. read-only, read-write, export, administrative etc.
Access to the service and account permissions are granted by the Examinations Office. - Service Catalogue entry is under Enterprise Applications/Student Records.
Note: This service is not available to Students
Prerequisites For The Use This Service
- Internet browser for web-based access –link to versions supported
Note: All users must adhere to the recommended platform for all standard computers in use in University of Galway
Availability
- The Exam Modelling Tool is available 24/7 - 365 except for planned backups, maintenance and unforeseen incidents via the wired campus network only.
- Not available off-campus
- Not available on Wi-Fi.
