Description

The Therefore application (formerly known as ADOS) offers a vast portfolio of print and information management solutions. At the University of Galway, Therefore is used to store and manage all documentation related to employees including, recruitment and post management by the HR department. Therefore is also in use in the medical faculty to store student information.

The current version used at the University of Galway is Therefore 2011 R2 Client

How To Obtain This Service

Request to the Service Desk (including approval) for install of Therefore Navigator Client (local client install)

Who Can Use This Service

• Administrative Staff (generally HR)
• Administrators in Medical Faculty

Prerequisites For The Use This Service

• Employee record exists in Core Personnel
• UDS account exists

Note: All users must adhere to the recommended platform for all standard computers in use in NUI Galway

Availability

Available 24x7 with the exception of scheduled backups once a month on a Saturday with an associated downtime of approx. 30 minutes during the window of 02:00 – 05:00

Accessible on-campus using a client or web-based interface

Cost

There is no charge to staff for the use of the Core applications
