Acknowledging the Facility
Acknowledging the Facility
Our team are happy to actively support your research. Acknowledgement in any publication or presentation that makes use of data generated by AIM systems is greatly appreciated. In order that the appropriate recognition is attributed to the CMI please acknowledge in either of two ways.
Acknowledgement:
If your research project was supported in part by the Anatomy Imaging and Microscopy Facility (but not meriting co-authorship), you are asked to acknowledge the facility in your publications, abstracts, presentations, posters, grant proposals, etc. using variations of the following text:
“The authors acknowledge the facilities and scientific and technical assistance of the Anatomy Imaging and Microscopy Facility at the University of Galway (https://imaging.universityofgalway.ie/imaging/)”
It is expected that for any publication that incorporates data acquired using the shared resources, a reprint of the publication or a complete citation is to be sent to the facility scientist and director at cmi@nuigalway.ie.
Authorship:
If your research project involved contributions from any of the AIM staff in the design or conception of the experiments, image acquisition, data analysis or interpretation, this is deemed to be a co-authorship on any research output i.e. papers, presentations etc. . Agreement must be made in advance with the facility director as to the level of the commitment required.
