By consolidating the university’s existing world-class expertise, the Institute covers a wide range of biomedical science and engineering research, including fundamental science, discovery, biomedical engineering, medical technologies, regenerative medicine, diagnostics, and advanced therapeutics. Moreover, it will foster new strategic research areas for the University, such as active implants, connected health, and smart connected devices.
