Course Content:

This 2-day course is an introduction to coaching as a management and leadership style with emphasis on application in the workplace. The course sets out to encourage participants to reflect on their management and leadership style and consider how they might embed the principles of coaching in their daily interactions.

It is designed to explore coaching concepts including building trust, safety, setting the agenda, contracting, ethics and responsibility.

Participants will get the opportunity to apply their learnings on Day 2 of the course which involves working in triads as coaches, coachees and observers in a safe, supportive environment. Qualified coaches will observe and provide feedback to participants.

Target Audience: For academic, professional services and research managers or leaders who wish to acquire the skills, knowledge and confidence to coach individual team members with a view to enhancing individual and team performance
