HR Business Partners
The University Strategy 2020 -2025 is shaped by our people for our people with the purpose of optimising the work experience of all our people. The Human Resources (HR) Office is a major player in the successful delivery of this Strategy and we support the University’s goals through the provision of a range of services including but not limited to: HR Team, HR Business Partners (HRBP), Resourcing and Contracts, Employee Relations (ER), Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Learning and Development (L&D).
Our University’s HR Business Partner (HRBP) Team provides a comprehensive and wide range of services to our Colleges, Schools, Units and Institutes of the University. Our primary role is to support College/Unit senior management teams, people managers and employees. We do this by contributing to strategic discussions and decisions, project managing bespoke solutions, providing technical HR advice, providing facilitation expertise, coaching and training managers and advising/supporting employees. We operate in a consulting and advisory mode, to ensure appropriate and fit for purpose people strategies are implemented and executed and we ensure that they are aligned with the law, University Policies and Procedures, International Best practice and our University’s objectives, values and goals.
The role of your HRBP is similar to that of a local HR Manager. You can contact us with any HR query and we will support you directly or by putting you in touch with the relevant specialist HR personnel. We deal with a broad range of HR issues with our HR colleagues, including employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, talent management, learning and development, organisation culture, organisational design, change management and organisational communication.
