Postgraduate Research Society postgrad@socs.universityofgalway.ie

Postgraduate Research Society, a society dedicated to promoting the social, recreational and academic networking of postgraduate students across all schools and departments in University of Galway. The society will be a forum for news regarding postgraduate happenings in the University, and we will also be organising social events to give people a break from research.

As the society is in its early stages, we welcome any ideas for events or activities that people would like to see happening throughout the year. To help us get things off the ground, please fill in this form (it will take less than five minutes) and let us know what you would like to get from the Postgraduate Research Society. Please also indicate on the form if you would be interested in helping out in any capacity -- whether it be sticking up the odd poster or setting up a walking group, we welcome all contributions.

There are rooms available in Áras na Mac Léinn for students to book for a variety of purposes. There are meeting rooms, dance studios, piano rooms, music rehearsal rooms, an art room and a photographic dark room. There is also a room with an electric massage chair and a room with a bed if you ever need a nap. You can book any of these rooms via this link. The Kitchen in the Hub is also open weekdays from 10am-4pm, and can be booked outside of these hours.

To become a member of the society simply log into yourspace.universityofgalway.ie with your ID and password and you will find us in the list of Societies.
