IUA-ANID Scholarship Programme

University of Galway is delighted to announce its partnership with the IUA and ANID to offer tuition fee scholarships for Ph.D. programmes. As part of this collaboration, University of Galway can extend a 10% tuition fee reduction to IUA ANID scholars from Chile, while ANID will assist in covering the remaining tuition fees. Additionally, ANID will provide a stipend and cover the mandatory international student health insurance fees.

Please see the ANID website for further information about eligible programmes and the full application process, as well as the ANID Scholarship helpdesk.

How to Apply

To be eligible for an ANID—IUA scholarship, applicants must first apply to, and receive an offer letter from, University of Galway. Applicants should remember that it can take several weeks for a complete application to be processed.

Once you have your offer letter, you can then apply to ANID for a scholarship under the ANID-IUA scheme. To apply for the scholarship, you need to register on ANID’s application portal and follow the steps for the application process. If you are successful in your application, you will be contacted ANID in relation to your scholarship and the IUA will organise your tuition fee waiver.

The application window for the scholarship programme can be seen here.

Please note that in submitting an application for the ANID-IUA scholarship, you are giving consent for your details to be shared between the IUA, host University and ANID. This information will be purely related to your respective program of study, related fees and academic progress. No details will be shared which relate to extenuating circumstances, academic investigations or wellbeing matters without explicit consent
