Fatimatuj Zohara Sonny - MSc in Coastal and Marine Environment
"Hi, I am Fatimatuj Zohara Sonny, a student from Bangladesh, studying MSc in Coastal and Marine Environment: Physical Process, Policy and Practice, School of Geography in NUI Galway.
I chose this course because I found it as the best postgraduate course in Ireland for the Marine education that combined different areas of marine and coastal environmental research considering different perspectives such as scientific, law, economy and Irish/EU policies. For its excellence in postgraduate training, this course has been nominated for the National Marine Award by the Marine Institute of Ireland.
My first day in the university was excellent as all the course teachers introduced themselves, and the course instructor provided detailed information about how to get the best from the course as well as from the universities extracurricular activities. From the very first day, the course teachers were very helpful and never said “no” whenever I needed any help from them. This MSc course provided me vast knowledge in different perspectives of environmental research and policy implementations. It also gave me the wonderful opportunity to learn the approaches that I needed to know as an environmental scientist and that I could apply in future for the betterment of environment.
Irish Music, Traditions and Literature fascinate me. Galway is the most Cultural, Festive and friendliest city."
