Official Examination Results

*Provisional Results: The Examinations Office releases official examination results only and is not involved in the release of any provisional results. Provisional results may be released locally by Schools/Colleges via Canvas. Students are advised to check Canvas for information about provisional results in the first instance.

Spring Results 2024-25

Spring(1st Sitting) Results are released online at 12:00 on the day of official results release.

Nursing (1CNP1 & 2HMW1) on March 26th
Burren College of Art on April 17th

Summer Results 2024-25

Summer (1st Sitting) Results are released online at 12:00 on the day of official results release.

Undergraduate Results: Official 1st Sitting results are scheduled for release:
- Final Medicine on May 20th
- Final Therapies on May 20th

Undergraduate Results: Official 1st Sitting results are scheduled for release:
- College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences on June 23rd*.
- College of Business, Public Policy and Law on June 23rd.
- College of Arts, Social Studies and Celtic Studies on June 23rd.
- College of Science and Engineering on June 23rd.

*3rd and 4th Medicine: Official results are scheduled for release on June 30th

Postgraduate Results: Official Summer (1st Sitting) results are scheduled for release on June 30th.

International Students: Official Results (course instances 1EM1, 1OA2, 1OA3 only) are released via the International Office.

Autumn Results 2024-25

Autumn (1st Sitting) Results are released online at 12:00 on the day of official results release.
Autumn (2nd Sitting) Results are released online at 12:00 on the day of official results release.

Undergraduate Results: Official 2nd Sitting results are scheduled for release on Sept 5th.
Postgraduate Results: Official Postgraduate Autumn (1st, 2nd Sitting) results are scheduled for release on Sept 15th.
Final Nursing: Official results 2nd Sitting results are scheduled for release on Sept 19th.

Winter Results 2024-25

Winter Results are released online at 12:00 on the day of official results release.

Postgraduate Winter: Official (1st Sitting) results are scheduled for release on Oct 15th.

Previous Years Results: For results from previous years, transcripts can be requested via the Student Registry Help Desk Form.

* NOTE: Results for the following courses, 1DOE1, 2DOE1, 1PBP2, 1PBP7 & 1PBP8 are available through the 1st Sitting Summer results link. *

International Students Official Results (course instances 1EM1, 1OA1, 1SWB1 only) are released via the International Office.

We cannot discuss students' results with anyone other than the students themselves, in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Results also cannot be disclosed over the telephone.

Where 'Fail', 'Incomplete' or 'Deferred' appears as the Overall result on your transcript of results, you will be automatically registered to take any written modules for the Autumn session of examinations. See Timetable Dates for dates of Repeat examinations for this academic year. For repeat coursework, contact the relevant Discipline. Students are not permitted to retake subjects/modules which have been previously passed, or passed by compensation.

Should you wish to discuss any of your results with your lecturer, Consultation Days are an opportunity for both academic staff and students to meet and discuss them. Please contact the School/Academic Discipline in advance to arrange an appointment.

Undergraduate Final-Year results and Postgraduate results only will be posted to the candidate's home address as registered - these results will also be available on-line (following Semester 2 examinations)**. All other results will be available online only (following Semester 2 examinations). Please ensure your home address is correct on your student record, if this needs to be amended please click here.

Further copies of result transcripts can be obtained from the Student Registry Helpdesk.

Transcripts/Results cannot be faxed or emailed to individuals, they are posted to the home address specified. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that their home address is correct on their record. Click on the link for info on how to register an address change. Please note you must allow 2 weeks for your change of address request to be processed.

*Provisional means that your mark/grade is not confirmed and could possibly change. All individual assessment marks remain provisional until they have been approved/ratified at the Exam Board at the end of the academic year (usually May or June). Provisional grades are released at the end of Semester One to provide feedback on your performance to date. This provides you with the opportunity to seek support or advice about your studies should you need to.
