The Calm Zone (supported by the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Project Fund) is a space to chill out, escape from sensory stress and overload, and 'just be' while you study for and sit your exams. It's completely understandable if you feel a little overwhelmed at times, and need to take a break. If you do, come to the Calm Zone and relax on bean bags in a softly lit sanctuary, do some arts and crafts, play cards and board games, and chat - or not if you don't feel like it, that's fine too. We have weighted blankets, ear defenders and fidget toys to help you relax.
The Calm Zone will be located in Áras na Mac Léinn from Monday 2nd to Thursday 5th December and in the Bank of Ireland Theatre, next to Sult, from Thursday 6th to Friday 20th December. It will open from 10am to 6pm during Study Week, 2nd to 6th December, and from 8am to 7pm while exams are running.
