Current Funding Opportunities:

2024 ENLIGHT Research Networks Call 

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation with the Office of Vice President International at the University of Galway are pleased to announce the 2024 Call to support the development of “ENLIGHT Research Networks” among researchers at ENLIGHT partner Universities. 

Supporting the development of new and existing “ENLIGHT Research Networks” at ENLIGHT partner Universities. University of Galway - led research networks can now apply to propose joint research initiatives with other ENLIGHT university partners.

Up to €80,000 in funding can be requested per Network at the time of application. With total funding available until February 2026. Recipients of ENLIGHT Research Network Funding will commit to the submission of at least 3 research proposals by the end of the funding period (end of February 2026), to a regional, national, or international funding agency. A minimum of 2 applications must be to Horizon Europe research funding calls and include at least 1 proposal to Pillar 2 or Pillar 3. These Research funding proposals must be led by the University of Galway and involve at least two other ENLIGHT partner universities from the ENLIGHT Research Network.

The call for OVPRI ENLIGHT Research Networks is open until 5pm, 5 July 2024.
