Professional Diploma in Mathematics for Teaching (PDMT)

The School of Education are delighted to be offering the Professional Diploma in Mathematics for Teaching (PDMT) in conjunction with other higher education institutions.  This is a national programme developed to support practicing teachers in upskilling in the area of mathematics teaching. It is a 2 year part-time postgraduate programme, which is funded by the Department of Education and Skills and is offered here at the School of Education, NUI Galway. 

The programme is delivered in a blended learning format, in that it is facilitated through online and face-to-face sessions.  All sessions are scheduled in the evenings and weekends as this programme is designed to support teachers who are already working.
