The Discipline of Education is committed to excellence, innovation, and inclusion in our professional practice and research. It is a privilege to work closely with future teachers, current teachers, school leaders and other educational professionals across sectors, and with schools more broadly, in our collective efforts to provide high quality and ‘21^st Century ready’ education.

At the heart of our work is initial and continuing teacher education, and we offer a range of innovative programmes in this domain at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels grounded in theoretical and empirical research as well as real-life concerns and experiences in schools and classrooms.

Our research focuses on core themes inter alia diversity and social justice in education, technology-enhanced teaching and learning, and professional learning, supported by a wide range of funded national and international projects. We also have a thriving doctoral education community, whose research spans a multitude of topics.
