Overview
This in-demand course aims to develop the capabilities of participants who are interested in incorporating digital learning practices, tools and strategies in their own professional contexts. The course content is designed to bring participants through hands-on tasks and strategies that support blended learning and teaching and online curriculum design.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be over 21 years of age and have a working knowledge of applications such as MS Office or equivalent.

How digital literacies are increasingly impacting on our lives, work, organisations, society, and our professional identities; presents you with opportunities to reflect on your own digital literacies; provides exposure to a range of learning technologies; applies new experiences to an assignment-related to your work sector.
Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate a broad and specialised knowledge of the fundamental models and concepts of the online learning environment
- Identify the key drivers, benefits and challenges to eLearning adoption
- Discuss the range of knowledge, skills and digital literacies needed by trainers to develop, facilitate and manage an effective online learning environment
- Discuss the range of knowledge, skills and digital literacies needed by learners to fully engage in collaborative virtual learning communities
- Apply online pedagogical models and learning technology tools to plan and construct prototype online courses and learning activities in an online learning environment
- Critically engage in current eLearning discourse (e.g. ‘Digital Native v Digital Immigrant’ debate, data protection, copyright, digital identity)
- Reflect and apply learning to participant’s own professional practice
- Recognise the role of technology in the learning process ensuring that appropriate pedagogical approaches are implemented for online learners
