Chinese Language and Culture Programme for Primary and Secondary Schools
Primary & Secondary school programmes: The CI staff are already working on a programme of Chinese language teaching to primary and secondary (transition year) students.The aim of our teaching is to enable students to feel confident in communicating in everyday situations with native Mandarin speakers and to give insights into the Chinese culture and way of life.
Development of Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate Chinese programmes within West of Ireland schools: In addition to primary and transition year (non-accredited) Chinese courses that the CI Galway can offer there is also an option to develop and deliver accredited Chinese language courses in the Junior and Senior Cycle of secondary school that would be examined by the state examinations commission.
