About: The Philosophy in the Wild Garden extends themes of Environmental Ethics in the undergraduate curriculum at University of Galway, Philosophy. It was created as a space for learning and pastoral care. In the Philosophy in the Wild Garden, students have the opportunity to think about the theories they have learned about in the seminar room in action as well as meeting informally to work on hands-on projects with peers and their instructors.

The garden includes biodiversity measures, a herb garden, fruits and vegetables and a mini library. A team of lecturers meet students weekly for coffee and collaborative work in the garden space.
