About: This project focused on the capacity building needs in light of the changing and increased use of social robots in the “social professions”, e.g. nursing, social work, social care, education. Through transnational interdisciplinary collaboration, this project addressed the gap in pedagogical approaches and curricula for professionals who face the increased presence of social robotics in their work lives. The project considered these professionals’ learning needs and developed a set of module descriptors and case studies to support effective capacity building tailored to different settings. It disseminated its findings through publications and multiplier events, including a large interactive online multiplier event coordinated through University of Galway and Alzheimer’s Ireland.
