The COST Action on Wearable Robots brought together researchers across Europe from different disciplines from engineering, to health sciences to social sciences to progress the development and benchmarking of effective, reliable and socially acceptable wearable robots. WG4 focused on the previously underexplored area of ethical, legal and social issues in Wearable Robotics and progressed insights into ethical, legal and social dimensions in Wearable Robotics by means of workshops, interdisciplinary expert consultations and collaborations. Its outputs included a journal special issue in Paladyn: Journal of Behavioural Robotics 11.1 (2020), academic articles, conference papers, practical guidance and dissemination materials, including https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11948-020-00268-4 and https://www.mdpi.com/2076-3417/11/15/6705 .
