PhD student Tomy Ncube gave an oral presentation at the ongoing (20-22 November ) 2024 SASPEN International Conference themed 'Community-Based Social Protection: Inclusion, Challenges, and Prospects'. The title of the presentation was "Bridging the Practice Gap for Promoting the Role and Function of Informal Social Protection Systems in Africa: Towards a Practice-based Framework". Here, he presented a novel framework for integrating informal and formal social protection from a forthcoming paper co-authored with Dr. Una Murray.
