GY119 BA Journalism
Are you passionate about a career in the media? Our BA Journalism programme offers you the opportunity to undertake journalism to degree level alongside another Arts subject in a Joint Honours format. This exciting new programme gives you an opportunity to learn about mass communications and how the media operates, as well as hands-on experience in practical media through a combination of in-class teaching and an eight-month work internship in year three.
Hands-on experience
During the programme, you'll learn how to write news and features, how to use social media like a pro, and be introduced to broadcasting via practice-based learning in radio and television in state-of-the-art digital studio facilities with working professional journalists. The programme is designed to give graduates a wide range of career options in the media, not just traditional newspaper roles - rather in wider communications, social media, digital communications and further afield. Graduates are also able to continue their studies via a range of MA programmes.
