Over the years many University of Galway students have been selected for our Student Placement programme, all of whom have been of the very highest calibre in terms of knowledge, competence and professionalism, with these students contributing in no small way to the vibrant, professional, and highly innovative working environment and high standards we strive to uphold here in the State Lab.
Our Student Placement Programme allows the state as an employer of choice to showcase the important work we do here in the lab, as well as the scientific career pathways and innovative working environment available to the next generation of aspiring scientists. Our student analysts are greatly valued here and tangibly assist in day-to-day analytical tasks and assisting the lab in our statutory remit as an independent government advisory service. Many of our past students have returned in a permanent capacity with some now managing entire sections.
