Background: Diploma, BSc Econ Information Science & Librarianship Studies, University of Aberystwyth, Wales. Certificate in Careers Information, Education and Vocation Guidance, University of Reading UK.  Extensive experience in working with careers information, information queries and enquiries according to the client’s information seeking need in the Career Development Centre at NUI Galway.
Dearbhla has also worked in the academic Library in the University in the areas of information retrieval, cataloguing, acquisitions and administrative support to the Executive Director.
